        ‘Reinventing the Future’

In an era marked by rapid transformation and uncertainty, adhesives and sealants play a vital role in enabling progress across industries. From construction and mobility to healthcare, packaging and electronics, our solutions are essential to building a smarter, more sustainable world.

But the path forward is not without challenges. A restructured global landscape, re-shaped by shifting trade dynamics and supply chain disruptions, demands resilience, agility and collaboration. WAC2026 will be the place to address these realities head-on, sharing insights and displaying innovations that help the industry adapt and thrive.

Through inspiring talks, cross-sector dialogue, and global networking, WAC2026 will highlight how our industry is not only responding to change but also actively shaping it. By connecting people, ideas and technologies, the entire value chain of WAC2026 is ‘Reinventing the Future’ together.

FEICA Stakeholder Forum continues collaborations on chemicals policy

On 13 November, the second session of the FEICA Stakeholder Forum was held in Brussels. Members of fourteen organisations met to discuss the challenges and opportunities under the chemicals policy. The continued exchange across the different end markets of the A&S industry on the REACH simplification and CLP are key to ensure a coordinated approach towards a future legislation that remains innovation-friendly and supportive of Europe’s industrial independence.

The sessions hosted a presentation by Mr Otto Linher, Senior Expert REACH at DG Grow (EU Commission), who shared important insights on these important issues.

FEICA position paper on the Circular Economy Act

FEICA has endorsed the EU Circular Economy Act, emphasising the critical role adhesives and sealants play in enabling circularity. In its position paper, FEICA urges policymakers to adopt a technology-neutral, harmonised regulatory framework that supports innovation and competitiveness across the sector.

The association highlights the need for greater investment in debonding infrastructure and clear, consistent rules to unlock the full environmental benefits of adhesives and sealants within Europe’s circular economy. FEICA also calls for measures that foster sustainability while ensuring the industry remains a driver of innovation.

FEICA backs the Chemicals Omnibus Proposal, urges action on CLP simplifications

FEICA has voiced strong support for the EU Chemicals Omnibus Proposal, welcoming measures to simplify the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) regulation. Key improvements include flexible font requirements, transition periods for relabelling, and the option for digital contact details.

The association is calling for further exemptions for small packaging and streamlined rules for distance sales to reduce unnecessary burdens. FEICA warns that failure to address these priorities could harm the adhesives and sealants sector and cause ripples across the wider industry.

The full position is available here.

FEICA calls for swift adoption of CLP  ‘stop-the-clock’

The FEICA position paper highlighted three key elements for a regulation that would work: flexible formatting rules, staggered transition periods and proportionate advertising provisions. By ‘stopping the clock’, co-legislators would benefit from more time to fully debate the broader simplification package and reassure companies by providing legislative predictability to plan and invest in compliance. The position paper is available here.

FEICA advocates for more coherent environmental rules in EU Omnibus

FEICA has submitted its position paper to the European Commission’s Environmental Omnibus, calling for simpler and more coherent environmental legislation. The association stresses that streamlining reporting requirements, aligning definitions, and applying proportionate rules for SMEs will cut unnecessary burdens and drive innovation across the adhesives and sealants sector.
