This article looks at how FEICA is dedicated to the acceptance of "Model Environmental Product Declarations” for the adhesives and sealants industry. The adoption of Model EPDs will potentially help adhesive and sealant companies achieve significant cost and time savings when creating EPDs for their products.

Regulation 1272/2008 (CLP) introduced a new element to the European Union (EU) classification, packaging and labelling requirements for hazardous chemicals. This was a requirement for manufacturers and importers, in certain cases, to notify to ECHA the classification of the substances that they supply or import for inclusion in the Classification and Labelling Inventory (CLI).
