Vacancy: Regulatory Affairs Manager – Chemicals legislation

Purpose of the Role
To reinforce the association’s regulatory and public affairs department, FEICA is looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager for its chemical health and safety topics, such as REACH and CLP.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate the activities of the Working Group on Chemical Legislation, ensuring effective collaboration among members.
- Monitor and influence developments with the EU authorities and other stakeholders relevant to the European Chemicals Industry Action Plan, including the Chemicals Omnibus and CLP developments.
- Represent the association in technical committees and stakeholder forums.
- Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance, particularly related to chemicals and mixtures.
- Draft position papers, technical guidance, and consultation responses in collaboration with members and external experts.
- Provide content related to the topics that is adapted to the various audiences, such as in newsletters and on the website(s).
- Liaise with other working groups and external stakeholders to ensure consistency and alignment of technical and regulatory positions.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, or technical project management within an association, related industry, or a consultancy agency working with associations.
- Knowledge of REACH, CLP and chemical regulation is an asset.
- Advanced degree such as in law, engineering, environmental science, international relations or a related field.
- Experience working in or with trade associations, industry consortia, or regulatory bodies is an asset.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and drafting skills in English.
