FEICA has started work on the sixth edition of its highly regarded "EU Adhesives and Sealants Market Report”. The FEICA report is the only adhesives and sealants study based on primary research, drawing its data from direct interviews with stakeholders in the adhesive and sealant industry. As such, it has established itself as the industry’s definitive European reference guide.
FEICA has recently entered into a long-term agreement with Line Willis, Principal Consultant, AdBond Consulting, to compile this and future versions of the Report.

IVK, the German Adhesive Association, has published a report on current trends in raw materials. Despite intensified political uncertainties, the prospects for world economic activity are improving, indicating that business will continue to pick up around the globe.
However, many factors combine to restrict the availability of key raw materials in Europe – which will lead to shortages, along with the attendant price rises.

In this guidance document, FEICA aims to provide clarification on how to risk assess mineral oil hydrocarbons in adhesives and, in case testing is needed, how to perform the test and evaluate the results. A decision tree is also included to allow customers to evaluate an adhesive for its intended application.
This guidance aims to support adhesives producers and their downstream users in making sure that the adhesive in its intended application complies with article 3 of the Framework Regulation 1935/2004. #foodcontact #mineraloil

CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) Regulation
FEICA supports its members by keeping them informed on regulatory developments impacting the CLP Regulation (Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation (1272/2008)). In this regard, FEICA has been proactively collaborating with ECHA on the development of the Guidance on labelling and packaging.
The European Commission’s twin proposals under #OmnibusVI mark a positive step toward simplifying EU chemicals legislation. For the adhesive and sealant industry - where 85% of companies are SMEs - this promises greater clarity, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. To ensure the revised CLP Regulation is practical and effective, FEICA underscores three key priorities: flexible formatting rules, staggered transition periods, and proportionate advertising provisions. In July 2025, FEICA published its position on CLP, calling for a swift adoption of CLP ‘stop-the-clock’.
Downstream Users of Chemicals Co-ordination Group (DUCC)
FEICA is Chair of the Downstream Users of Chemicals Co-ordination Group (DUCC), which is a platform of European associations which represent downstream industries. DUCC's main objective is to contribute, with a common voice, to the successful implementation of the requirements of the REACH and CLP Regulations.
Kindly note the DUCC positions that FEICA contributed significantly to :
