  The document’s objective is to guide FEICA members on how to submit relevant information regarding their hazardous mixtures placed on the market to the national appointed bodies. Such information will be gathered to allow Poison Centres to provide rapid medical assistance in case of emergency.

  Call for action

   

  To address concerns raised by stakeholders on the workability of new requirements on the submission of information on hazardous chemical mixtures for emergency health response, the European Commission has launched a study; the appointed consultant is Wood Plc. 

   

  This Briefing paper & Call for action provides the background information on the workability regarding provisions of Annex VIII under the CLP regulation. Issues with the practical implementation were raised by industry, leading to the above mentioned study.

  European Coatings Journal (ECJ), issue 12/2017: Plan Ahead!

   

  Last March, a new Annex (Annex VIII to the CLP regulation) was published in the official journal of the European Union, effectively starting the countdown towards the deadlines to start notifying hazardous mixtures to appointed bodies in a harmonised way across the EU.

   

  In this article, published by ECJ,  Nicolás Fuentes, Regulatory Affairs Manager at FEICA, sums up what is in the pipeline to achieve harmonised reporting across the European Union, and how companies should 'Plan ahead'.
