Business Working Groups
BWG Communication
PURPOSE
On September 2006, the FEICA general assembly agreed to reorganize the FEICA structure by adding next to the European Technical Board and new Body dealing with none technical related European issues and so called: European Business Board. It was also agreed that FEICA needs to strengthen his position in 3 areas: Communication, Statistic and Education. Aiming to keep the organization as lean as possible, the Executive Board agreed on May 08th 2007 to set up the working groups under the direct supervision of the Executive Board as interim solution before the European Business Board is in place. The kick-off of the working groups should take place before the September 2007 General Assembly.
SCOPE
The EBB Working Group Communication will be responsible to assist the FEICA secretariat in raising the awareness of our association and fostering the communication amongst FEICA members and the other Adhesive and Sealant Industry stakeholders.
The WG will have the following none-exhaustive tasks:
- To review and update the FEICA Communication strategy and key actions plan.
- Recommend best communication practices and tools within budget constraints.
- Provide recommendations on ways to improve the communication of the work carried out by the FEICA technical and none technical working groups, and other technical, legal and regulatory information’s.
- Collaborate in the creation of the new FEICA Website and revamping the FEICA Logo and identity.
- Collaborate in the organization of the Annual Feica Conference and other major events.
- Become the deposit of any communication issues and provide recommendation how to fix it.
- Proposing a program to raise FEICA awareness and promote our Industry.
The BWG is reporting to the Executive Board. The chairman is selected by the WG members and nominated by the Executive board. The chairman calls for meeting and issues the minutes.
BWG Stastistic
PURPOSE

SCOPE
The EBB Working Group Statistic will be responsible to collect and communicate to Feica members the European Adhesive and Sealant Industry Market data’s and Statistics. The WG will have the following none-exhaustive tasks:
- Review and update the Adhesive Classification Document produced in 1998 and includes the Sealants.
- Run a need / perceived value assessment amongst the members for market data’s and statistics.
- Identify best methodology, set up and tools required to collect the information.
- Seek cooperation with other associations (CEFIC, others) and consultants (Chem-Research) to fill existing knowledge gaps in market data’s and statistics.
- Provide summary reports on a regular basis to Feica members and make proposal how to disseminate general information at selected audiences.

BWG Education
PURPOSE

It was also agreed that FEICA needs to strengthen his position in 3 areas: Communication, Statistic and Education. Aiming to keep the organization as lean as possible, the Executive Board agreed on May 08th 2007 to set up the working groups under the direct supervision of the Executive Board as interim solution before the European Business Board is in place. The kick-off of the working groups should take place before the September 2007 General Assembly. The executive board agreed on May 08th 2007 to transfer the existing and successful Program: “Bonding for the Future” to the EBB Working Group Education. The steering committee and the chairman (Rainer Vogel) will remain unchanged but could be enlarged if required.
SCOPE
The EBB Working Group Education will be responsible to promote Harmonized Education Programs aiming to foster:
- best product/application practices and
- new added value applications for adhesives and sealants in Europe.
The WG will have the following none-exhaustive tasks:
- Develop a general FEICA Education Strategy and present it to the Executive Board for approval by September 07.
- To promote on a European basis the IFAM education program through national licensees.
- Seek the sponsoring of the major Adhesive and Sealant producers to support the Education program at the end user level.
- Identify other national education programs in place and recommend how to streamline them with IFAM program aiming to remain consistent on a European level.
- Recommend best approach to enlarge the scope of the existing IFAM Education program (Structural Bonding) to other sector of application for Adhesives and Sealants.
- Become the deposit of any Education related issues and provide recommendation how to address them.
- Liaise with the American and the Asian Associations to align our strategies.
